Construction

Our team have complex construction, structure, excavation and logistics experience on major bespoke houses and multi-residential projects working with Australia’s leading architects, designers, engineers, trades and craftsman. Construction requires a strong focus on planning, operational & safety discipline, technical expertise and experience, methodology and risk mitigation by the right team with the right resource allocation.

 Country and Remote Projects

We have delivery experience on country and remote properties, and understand the importance of the property being self sufficient. We utilise maintenance effective building techniques and plan Infrastructure requirements including water supply, sewer waste and electrical requirements. Generally with these properties heating is an important aspect. We promote and install renewable energies including geothermal heating exchange systems, large solar grids and wind turbines. 

Commercial Approach

We apply commercial building practices and technology to residential construction including environmental, safety, quality and cost systems. Our business, technical intellect and delivery approach are continually being developed through planning, methodology, programming, resourcing, cost & administration systems, development and training. We have a strong debt free balance sheet. 

Sensitive Environments

We understand we are working in your residence and on your neighbours boundaries, streets, communities and environments. Excavation, noisy works, dilapidation reports, street closures, cranage, materials handling, safety, traffic management and trade coordination is what we plan and enact daily. We ensure minimal disruption, safety, security & clear and honest interaction & communication are core and integral in all our relationships, interfaces and environments at all levels

Heritage Works

We understand the sensitivities and intricacies of working with heritage listed, historic & period city and country houses. BWG have worked on Arts & Crafts, Victorian, Edwardian, Neo-classical and modernist houses. There are many factors requiring consideration and research when working with historic houses. Construction methods have changed significantly and it is important to involve your selected builder as early as possible. We assess if existing structural components can accept proposed amendments and brainstorm the best construction and design methods to ensure new works blend in with the existing to allow for a seamless finish.

Alterations and Additions

Renovating a house generally requires more coordination than starting from scratch. It involves going backwards to move forward whilst uncovering components that may not have been built correctly or have deteriorated over time. This requires a team approach and ability to adapt and to problem-solve.
